Google appoints Preeti Lobana as new Country Manager for India
Preeti Lobana steps into the role of Google India’s Country Manager, driving AI innovation and growth in the digital economy.

Google has appointed Preeti Lobana as its new Country Manager and Vice President for India. In her new role, Lobana will oversee Google India’s sales and operations while leading the company’s efforts to support India’s rapidly expanding digital economy. According to the company’s statement, Lobana will play a crucial role in formulating Google’s strategy to leverage the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI) for its customers, promoting innovation across the country.

Preeti Lobana succeeds Sanjay Gupta, who recently assumed a higher responsibility as President of Google’s Asia Pacific region. Welcoming Lobana into her new role, Gupta remarked, “With AI set to redefine the limits of possibility, I am thrilled to welcome Preeti as Google India’s Country Manager. Her leadership and unwavering focus on customer needs have delivered impactful solutions, enabling millions of businesses to thrive in the digital era.”

Bringing more than 30 years of experience in senior leadership positions across the technology and finance sectors, Lobana is well-positioned to drive Google’s growth in India. Before this appointment, she served as Google’s Vice President for gTech - Process, Partner, Publisher Operations, Ads Content & Quality Operations. In her previous role, Lobana led a global team to develop innovative advertising solutions and deliver exceptional support to Google’s partners and customers.
