Google upgraded the Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking Experimental model with added features, the spotlight being file upload. The newly updated version has been trained to break down prompts into a series of steps to strengthen its reasoning capabilities and deliver better responses. It also comes with enhanced efficiency and speed to bring you the best possible experience.

In addition to the feature updates, Google has also enabled access to a 1M token context window for Gemini Advanced Users. This enhanced access will allow users to solve more complex problems by exploring and analyzing large amounts of information.

Deep Research Goes More Deeper 

After its launch in December, Google upgrades the Deep Research with Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking Experimental. This enhances Gemini's capabilities across all research stages—from planning and searching to reasoning, analyzing, and reporting—creating higher-quality, multi-page reports that are more detailed and insightful.

This pairing is supposed to improve the quality of the reports for users. Gemini users can now access Deep Research for free a few times per month, while Gemini Advanced users enjoy expanded access, helping them save even more time on complex projects.

Getting a Personal Assistant Becomes Easier 

Google has officially launched "Gems" in the Gemini app, enabling users to customize their own AI assistants on any topic—at no cost. Users can start with Google's premade Gems or create custom ones, such as a translator, meal planner, or math coach. The feature is accessible via the "Gems Manager" on desktop, where users can input instructions, assign a name, and interact with their personalized AI anytime.
