Google updates Gemini with an all-new feature enabling it to memorize past chats. It allows Gemini to reference past chats if anything comes up in an ongoing conversation, without exploring the previous threads saved in the navigation bar. Simply put, Google has enhanced the memorizing capacity of Gemini, its AI model, to render it an efficient and seamless functioning aimed at providing users with a better and enhanced AI model.

This makes things easier, as you are no longer supposed to begin things from the very scratch, every time you want to discuss something. Rather, a hint about the conversation would be more than enough for the model to memorize the conversation and reference the relevant part from the same. This will also enable you to build on top of past conversations and projects, giving it a seamless functionality.

Remembering Chats: Control What to Remember

You can even easily control whatever information you want the model to remember while deleting the rest, enabling it to function efficiently. You can easily review, delete, or choose how long to keep your chat history. If you prefer, you can turn it off entirely through My Activity.

Eventually, the model will also notify you when it references your past chats in sources and related content.
