Elon Musk’s Tesla all set to build around 5,00,000 robots in the next 3 years
The CEO further adds that we are looking at a market that seems to be unfolding itself to reach a figure of around 20-30 Billion Humanoid robots as a whole.

In a piece of good news for tech enthusiasts and businesses, Elon Musk announces the development of around 5,00,000 humanoid robots by Tesla in the upcoming 3 years. The interview was conducted against the backdrop of CES 2025 with around 25 CEOs and CMOs available in the meet. 

Further, the CEO of the tech company goes on to say that the Robot to Human CEO might get to 1 for 5 wherein every 5th person in the world will have a robot at their dispense to ease certain tasks that the robots would be experts at. 

Biggest products in History 


The CEO says that robots will be the biggest product ever in the history of humankind. With this, he meant to convey the transformative impact it will have on the lives of the people either at work or at home. Looking at the ratio suggested by the CEO and further the impact these can have on human lives, it can be safely concluded that the CEO possibly meant to verbiage impact by calling Humanoid robots the biggest product. 

20-30 Billion figure 


The CEO further adds that we are looking at a market that seems to be unfolding itself to reach a figure of around 20-30 Billion Humanoid robots as a whole. While the figure around capitalization and financials can’t be ascertained as of now the market in terms of demand and utility seems to grow hugely in the coming years. 

Optimus robots 


The CEO finally comes to Tesla's most advanced robot developed to date “Tesla Optimus”. “Assuming things go well, we’ll 10x that output next year (2026), so we’ll aim to do maybe 50,000-100,000 humanoid robots next year, and then 10x it again the following year,” Musk said in an interview.

Real-life applications 


The use of humanoid robots extends across various industries:
