LG Dominates the OLED TV Market As Its Sales Surge by 8.5 Percent
LG registered a sale of an impressive 3.18 million OLED TV units last year, with the fourth quarter shipments alone surpassing 1.1 million units.

LG Electronics, a South Korean multinational appliance and consumer electronics corporation, reaffirms its dominance in the premium TV market. With quarter-over-quarter sales seeing a notable surge, LG dominates this segment. It registered a sale of an impressive 3.18 million OLED TV units last year, with the fourth quarter shipments alone surpassing 1.1 million units.

In 2024, yet again it leads the global OLED TV segment with over 52.4 percent of the market share. It has been sitting on the same for the past 12 consecutive years. It has led the OLED TV market with its cutting-edge innovations like perfect black levels, outperforming audiovisual excellence, and AI-powered personalization, to count a few. The company has also introduced Affectionate Intelligence, its personalized take on AI, to ensure a world-class and at-par experience for the users. 

OLED Technology on the Rise

OLED televisions accounted for 45% of the premium TV market in 2023, defined by models priced at $1,500 and above, reflecting an 8.5 percentage point increase from the previous year. With the segment projected to exceed 50% in 2024, LG remains focused on driving innovation and reinforcing its leadership in the OLED TV industry.

LG leading the OLED segment. 

As consumer demand for larger screens surges, shipments of ultra-large OLED TVs have risen accordingly, now accounting for 16% of the total OLED TV market. LG continues to lead the sector, commanding a dominant 57.5% market share in 2024 for OLED displays measuring 75 inches and above. The company’s extensive lineup includes standout models in the 77-inch, 83-inch, 88-inch, and 97-inch categories, reinforcing its position at the forefront of the industry.
