AWS
Reportedly, Amazon’s cloud computing division Amazon Web Services (AWS)  is heavily investing in the initiative. The report notifies that the chip is being developed by Annapurna Labs, an Israeli Chip startup acquired by Amazon.

An Alternative
“We want to be the best place to run Nvidia. But at the same time, we think it's healthy to have an alternative," Dave Brown, vice president of compute and networking services at AWS, was quoted as saying.

Free Computing Power
At the same time, Amazon Web Services (AWS) has unveiled plans to provide free computing resources to researchers who use its custom-built AI chips. As part of this initiative, AWS will allocate up to $110 million in credits, granting researchers access to its cloud infrastructure and enabling them to harness the power of "Trainium," a specialized chip designed to accelerate the development of AI models. This move is aimed at supporting AI innovation and enhancing research capabilities across various industries.
