Paytm Onboards UPI International, To enable Ad-hoc International Payments
Users can view the exact foreign exchange rates and any conversion fees charged by their bank during the payment process.

One97 Communications-owned Paytm, India’s fintech app, has announced that the app can now enable its users to make international UPI payments at selected destinations.

The users can make international payments through UPI International for all use cases including shopping, dining, and local experiences abroad using UPI through their payment app. 

The locations mandated are popular destinations from UAE, Singapore, France, Mauritius, Bhutan, and Nepal.

Easy Set-Up 


The setup to enable international payments remains easy and seamless. Upon scanning any UPI-enabled QR abroad, the mechanism will promptly activate the process with a one-time activation linked to the User’s bank account.  Travelers can also choose the usage period ranging from 1-90 days based on their trip and plans.

Users can view the exact foreign exchange rates and any conversion fees charged by their bank during the payment process, ensuring full transparency before finalizing the transaction.
