The Andhra Pradesh government has introduced an initiative to appoint influential personalities and celebrities as brand ambassadors for Amaravati. This move aims to establish the city as a world-class capital, highlighting its modern infrastructure, sustainability, and cultural significance. As per a government order (GO No. 107) issued by Principal Secretary S Suresh Kumar from the municipal administration and urban development department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, the objective is to showcase Amaravati as a model of urban planning and development. The government envisions the city as a beacon of sustainability with eco-friendly infrastructure, seamless connectivity, and a citizen-centric design.
Role of Brand Ambassadors
To achieve this vision, the government intends to engage prominent individuals who have a significant global presence in areas such as sustainability, development, innovation, and community engagement. These ambassadors may include professionals with exceptional expertise in their respective fields and a strong commitment to the local communities within the capital region.

Duration and Scope of Engagement
The selected brand ambassadors will serve for an initial period of one year, with the possibility of an extension based on the discretion of the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) and the state government. Their involvement will be instrumental in shaping Amaravati’s reputation and positioning it as a benchmark for urban development in India.
