The Government of Andhra Pradesh entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Google Inc. on December 11, 2024, to set up operations in Visakhapatnam. The announcement was made by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during the district collectors' conference, crediting the success of this deal to Nara Lokesh, the Minister of Human Resources Development of Andhra Pradesh.
This collaboration is expected to be transformative for the state. CM Naidu remarked, “Our forward-thinking industrial policies have cultivated a business-friendly environment, attracting major investors and creating employment opportunities.” The Chief Minister further shared details of his meeting with Google’s delegation, led by Vice President Bikash Koley, in Amaravati, signaling a strong commitment to the partnership.
