Telangana CM Revanth Reddy’s delegation explores strategic collaborations with Singapore on sustainability, semiconductors, and urban development.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, leading a high-profile delegation, met with Singapore’s Minister for Sustainability and Environment, Grace Fu Hai Yien. The discussions focused on forging partnerships in key areas to accelerate Telangana’s growth. Accompanying him were Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu and senior officials, who highlighted Telangana’s potential for investments in urban planning, infrastructure, water management, skill development, sports, semiconductors, manufacturing, and sustainability.

Singapore’s Interest in Telangana’s Sustainability Goals

Minister Grace Fu Hai Yien expressed keen interest in Telangana’s initiatives, especially the “Net Zero Future City” concept, the River Musi rejuvenation project, and advanced water management strategies. She assured the delegation of Singapore’s willingness to collaborate and contribute to the state’s ambitious goals under the “Telangana Rising” vision. Both sides agreed to establish specialised teams to explore joint projects, exchange knowledge, and ensure impactful outcomes on the ground.

Roundtable with Singapore Semiconductor Industry Leaders

In a separate meeting, Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu hosted a roundtable discussion with the Singapore Semiconductor Industry Association (SSIA). Prominent industry leaders participated in the interaction, where Babu presented Telangana’s semiconductor ecosystem and invited Singaporean investors to explore opportunities in the state. The SSIA responded positively, committing to send a team to Hyderabad later this year to assess investment prospects.

Next Steps for Telangana on the Global Stage

As part of a two-nation tour, the Telangana delegation will continue their journey to Davos, Switzerland, to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF). The visit aligns with the state’s efforts to attract global investments and build strategic international partnerships.
