Xbox announces its collaboration with LG to bring the Xbox Games app to the drawer of LG Smart TVs in a recent blog post.   These efforts by Xbox aim to pitch its products to the comfort of TVs enabling much more personalization and customization. It will also facilitate games to more people around the world irrespective of the devices they choose to own.

Game Pass Ultimate members can now access their favorite games directly from the Xbox app on supported LG Smart TVs, thanks to Xbox Cloud Gaming. This new feature offers players greater convenience and flexibility, bringing console-quality gaming to the big screen without any additional hardware.

Games available

Soon, LG Smart TV owners will be able to dive into the Gaming Portal for seamless access to hundreds of games in the Game Pass Ultimate catalog. The lineup includes fan favorites like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and eagerly awaited titles such as Avowed, set to launch on February 18, 2025. This integration brings a new level of convenience for gaming enthusiasts.

Streaming comfort

Conforming its earlier announcement regarding streaming of select games, outside the Game Pass catalog, which is owned by the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members, this facility will be available on the Xbox app with LG Smart TVs also, allowing Game Pass Ultimate members to stream over 50 games they own.

While more details are awaited from the companies, this is all we know so far.
