Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 kicks off with groundbreaking innovations and a vision for India’s mobility future.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on January 17, 2025. Expressing gratitude to the citizens for electing his government for a third term, PM Modi highlighted the scale and ambition of this year's event. He noted that the expo now spans three venues in the National Capital Region, marking a significant expansion from last year's event, which hosted 800 exhibitors and attracted 2.5 lakh visitors.

During his address, Modi emphasised the rapid advancements in India's automotive industry, stating, “The automotive industry of India is fantastic and future-ready.” Recalling the contributions of industry stalwarts like Ratan Tata and Osamu Suzuki, he acknowledged their pivotal roles in shaping India’s auto sector and fulfilling the aspirations of middle-class families.

 

India's Automotive Growth and Vision

Highlighting India's global standing, Modi stated, "India is currently the world’s fifth-largest economy and the third-largest passenger vehicle market." He added that the Indian automotive sector grew by nearly 12 per cent in the past year, with exports surging under the "Make in India and Make for the World" initiative.

Referring to his vision for mobility, Modi reiterated the “Seven Cs for Mobility Solutions”—Common, Connected, Convenient, Congestion-free, Charged, Clean, and Cutting-edge. He stressed that green mobility is central to this vision, signalling India’s commitment to sustainable transportation.

Day 1 Highlights: Setting the Stage for Innovation

The first two days of the expo, January 17 and 18, were reserved for media and dealers. The event witnessed the launch of 56 new products from 22 brands at Bharat Mandapam and 5 launches at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka. From superbikes to buses, exhibitors showcased advanced vehicles, cutting-edge components, and innovative solutions.

 

Day 1-2 Highlights: Groundbreaking EV Launches

The second day saw major EV launches and technological advancements:

VinFast Auto India unveiled its first two electric SUVs for India, the VF 7 and VF 6.

JSW MG Motor India showcased nine advanced models, including MG Majestor and other hybrid and battery-electric vehicles like the IM5 Sedan.

Eka Mobility introduced India’s most extensive range of electric commercial vehicles, including electric buses, trucks, and commercial vehicles.

BYD India launched the BYD SEALION 7 Pure Performance eSUV and showcased innovative models like the Yangwang U8.

JBM Electric Vehicles introduced four new electric buses, including luxury and medical transport options.

Montra Electric launched the EVIATOR (e-SCV) and Super Cargo (e-3 Wheeler).

Hyundai Motor Company revealed two advanced concept models targeting last-mile mobility.

Vayve Mobility launched India’s first solar electric car, Eva, priced between ₹3.25 lakh and ₹5.99 lakh.

Pinnacle Industries debuted its new ambulance range, including neonatal and multi-stretcher models.

 

Day 3 Highlights: Road Safety and Luxury Unveiled

The third day featured the Summit for Automotive Future Advancement in Road Safety (SAFAR), organised by SIAM, under the theme “United Efforts for Road Safety: Safer Roads, Our Responsibility.” Maruti Suzuki India contributed with a VR-based driving simulator to promote safe driving practices as part of its CSR initiative.

Mercedes Benz India unveiled the Concept CLA-Class, showcasing the future of luxury and performance. Other exhibitors, including Klüber Lubrication and ZF, presented sustainable and advanced automotive solutions.

At 'The Components Show' held at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, exhibitors showcased over six innovative automotive products and solutions. Klüber Lubrication presented its sustainable solutions for modern mobility, while BorgWarner highlighted advanced technologies, including the Smart Light-Touchless Aligner, Autorobot-CRS, and EV products. TEXSPIN showcased a range of products catering to commercial vehicles, farm and off-road vehicles, passenger cars, as well as two- and three-wheelers.


 

Day 4 Highlights: EV Technology Takes Centre Stage

The fourth day of the expo underscored India’s shift towards green mobility:

SML Isuzu launched the Hiroi. EV and other advanced vehicles, including premium buses and tippers.

BMW Group India showcased the Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works Pack and the S 1000 RR motorcycle.

Omega Seiki Pvt. Ltd. launched the M1KA 1.0 electric truck and unveiled future models.

Motovolt Mobility introduced India’s first digital pedal motorbike, Hyper One, and other e-mobility solutions.

Sarla Aviation debuted India’s first flying taxi, Shunya.
