Bihar Secures ₹95,566 Crore Investment to Transform Railway Infrastructure
The Indian government is investing Rs 95,566 crore to modernise and enhance Bihar’s railway infrastructure, ensuring better connectivity and electrification.

The central government of India has announced a significant investment of Rs 95,566 crore to improve Bihar’s railway network. This initiative aims to modernise infrastructure, enhance connectivity, and provide better facilities to passengers. Highlighting the efforts made under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw emphasised that Bihar’s railway network has now achieved 100 per cent electrification. Additionally, reconstruction work is currently underway for 98 railway stations across the state, promising modernised amenities and enhanced services.

 

Ongoing Railway Development Projects

Vaishnaw also pointed out that reconstruction work is in progress at three major locations, further contributing to the state's railway infrastructure. Alongside station redevelopment, efforts to double railway lines are actively being undertaken, which will help decongest routes and ensure faster travel times.

Prime Minister’s Vision for Bihar

The Railway Minister underlined Prime Minister Modi’s commitment to Bihar’s development, stating that the PM has always prioritised the state’s progress. He further noted that new rake points are being constructed at multiple locations to facilitate smoother transportation of goods and passengers. This extensive investment reaffirms the government’s dedication to improving railway services in Bihar, ensuring efficient and modern transportation for the people.
