Rapido, an Indian mobility aggregator app, has announced that it plans to launch a Shared Cab feature for rides to Kempegpwda International Airport, Bangalore allowing affordable airport rides for people.

Good Public Response
It has already launched a sharing auto service on its app to check for the acceptance and feasibility of the model and expand it to other mediums. With the sharing auto service, Rapido has gained some substantial confidence in the idea as the sharing service received a good response from the public.

Affordable Rides
“One vehicle can serve more than two customers. We have already launched auto pooling in Bengaluru, and we’re soon launching an airport pooling service,” said  Aravind Sanka, co-founder of Rapido. “The idea is to make rides from the airport to the city more affordable by allowing passengers to share rides, especially since they’re currently paying thousands of rupees for private trips.”

Innovation on the Cuff
Innovation takes center stage as the mobility aggregator apps aim to penetrate more into the market with affordable rides making it accessible up to the lower stratas of the society.

Business behind the back
As mobility aggregator apps try new avenues to embolden their business, innovation is bound to happen. Aiming at affordability enables business’ further penetration into the different classes of society enabling it to serve a bigger target market and expand its market cap.
