Sources indicate that the company has initiated discussions with various real estate firms, including prominent developer DLF, and leading retailers. This renewed attempt follows earlier efforts by Tesla to engage with major retail and real estate players in India, which ultimately did not lead to a finalized deal.

Insiders at DLF have clarified that Tesla is in talks with multiple firms, not solely DLF, emphasizing that such negotiations are standard practice for sales teams in the real estate sector. Tesla has long expressed interest in entering the Indian market, viewing it as a key emerging economy capable of driving future electric vehicle (EV) sales. Earlier this year, Tesla CEO Elon Musk was expected to visit India and meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to explore potential collaborations, but the trip was later cancelled.
