Tesla AI recently released a video showcasing one of its Electric Vehicles (EVs) autonomously navigating from the Tesla Fremont factory, in California to a designated loading dock without any human supervision. This marks a significant step toward achieving large-scale, unsupervised Full Self-Driving (FSD), a long-standing goal for Tesla.

Sharing the accomplishment on X (formerly Twitter), Tesla AI’s official account highlighted the significance of the achievement. The post read, "Teslas now drive themselves from their birthplace at the factory to their designated loading dock lanes without human intervention. One step closer to large-scale unsupervised FSD."

Tesla AI Demonstrates FSD Supervised Mode

Alongside the groundbreaking video, Tesla AI also shared another clip demonstrating how users can operate its autonomous electric vehicles. The video showed the simplicity of engaging FSD Supervised mode, instructing users to tap a button and press the brake to initiate the system. The post added, "If preferred, you can disable brake confirmation in settings."

The Growing Debate on Tesla Autopilot

Tesla’s Autopilot technology remains a hot topic within the automotive industry. While many praise it as a revolutionary advancement in driving technology, others express concerns regarding its safety and ethical implications. The system, equipped with advanced driver-assistance features, allows Teslas to steer, accelerate, and brake automatically while staying within their lane.

As Tesla continues to refine its FSD capabilities, the debate over autonomous driving’s future persists. Supporters view it as a glimpse into the future of mobility, while sceptics urge for more oversight and safety assurances. Tesla’s latest achievement brings the company one step closer to making fully autonomous vehicles a reality, setting the stage for a new era in transportation.
