Indian startups are all set to benefit from the first-of-its-kind Mega "Innovation Complex" in Mumbai made by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), a research and development organization in India to promote scientific, industrial, and economic growth, and unveiled by the Union Minister of Science and Technology Dr . Jitendra Singh. He is reported to have dedicated the complex to startups and industry stakeholders on 17 January 205 in his inaugural address.  The Innovation Complex, spanning over 9 floors, has around 24 “ready-to-move” incubation labs in addition to furnished offices and networking spaces for innovative StartUps, MSMEs, industry, and CSIR labs.

The mega facility has been built to provide high-end scientific infrastructure, expertise, and regulatory support to stakeholders, including CSIR labs, Start-Ups, MSMEs, and industry, for the SOP-driven studies necessary for regulatory submissions and compliance. Innovative start-ups, companies partnering with CSIR labs, MSMEs, deep-tech companies from India and abroad, public-funded research institutions, and CSIR labs can avail themselves of the benefits offered.

Startups to Recieve Research Collaboration

As the minister stated in his inaugural address, the state-of-the-art facility has been designed to offer incubation and business spaces, fostering collaboration between start-ups, MSMEs, and industry stakeholders and CSIR’s extensive network of researchers and innovators. This facility acts as a vital link between advanced scientific research and its practical applications, addressing real-world challenges and supporting the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
