Google integrates Google Lens within Chrome or the Google app to make screen-searching easier and more instant. With Google Lens, you can now search for any object, text, or anything else appearing on your iPhone’s screen by highlighting it, double-taping it, or making a circle over it. The feature works across the web whether you’re reading an article, shopping for a product, or watching a video.

This means you no longer need to take screenshots and switch tabs on your phone to search for any aspect. This integration makes searching more seamless and modern than ever before. Apart from this, Google Lens will now also provide AI Overviews for whatever you search for, in addition to the usual Chrome search results.

Circle to Search: How does it work?

To get started in Chrome, open the three-dot menu and select “Search Screen with Google Lens.” Further circle or highlight what you’d like to search. This will fetch you a plethora of results, as Google Lens always did.

The same will soon be accessible through a Google Lens icon in the address bar. This will make searching screen objects easier, seamless, and quicker than ever.

Google Lens: AI Overviews

In contrast to the previous array of responses, Google Lens can now even generate an AI overview of the queries dropped or objects selected other than the search response fetched from Google. So, for queries to Google Lens, AI Overviews will begin to appear more often in your Lens results, with no need to add a question to your visual search.

Google Lens will now get you an AI overview to make sense of what you’re looking at, along with links to helpful resources on the web.
