Indian Business Leaders have secured top rank, 35%, among their global peers in their readiness regarding combating cybersecurity threats in contrast to the global average of 29%, in the Kryndryl Readiness Report 2024.
The Survey
The Kryndryl Readiness Report 2024 has been prepared after collection and due analysis of responses from 3200 Leaders and Senior decision-makers across 18 markets and 25 industries including Insurance, Healthcare, Energy, Manufacturing, and others.
Technological Advancement
Leaders across the world find the pace of technological development to be quite quick, about 50% of the surveyed, while 3 out of 5 struggling to keep up with the pace of advancement. As a result, only 38% of the surveyed CEOs, CIOs & CTOs find themselves ready to walk the pace of technological advancement while a staggering 55% remain concerned.
Since businesses aspire for a forward-looking and friendly atmosphere, free of threats and insecurities, it is indispensable to facilitate an environment with substantial readiness to enable them to face upcoming challenges, these data metrics manifest a highly un-prepared ecosystem.
External Business Risks
Upon facing the question of external business risks including cybersecurity and macroeconomic uncertainties, only 29% of the surveyed people find themselves ready. While the global average remains at 29%, India & Brazil top the charts with a readiness of 35%. Apart from this, the risk factor is being felt most by the leaders in Japan & Italy.
Highest Readiness
Among the various metrics of readiness, Indian leaders find themselves most ready to address the skill gaps in the workforce going above 40% while the global average stands somewhere between 35-45%. Overall, risk readiness is highest in developing markets with India and Brazil leading the charts.
Industries
Among the industries that have been surveyed a mix of different outcomes have been recorded with some sort of unpreparedness being reported here or there. Healthcare leaders and banking sector leaders are more ready to navigate the challenges with a percentage of 31% & 30%, respectively while the manufacturing sector leaders are press inclined towards resolution, worldwide.
Indian Business Leaders have attained an impressive 35% readiness in addressing cybersecurity threats, positioning them favorably against their global peers. However, the Kryndryl Readiness Report 2024 also reveals notable areas needing improvement. As cybersecurity and macroeconomic risks evolve, leaders need to cultivate a culture of preparedness that tackles current challenges while also anticipating future threats.
