The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY)’s Bhashini gets roped into the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj to enable multilingual accessibility for people coming from various parts of India. Bhashini has been integrated into the Digital Lost & Found Solution to help people report any incidents of loss and track them onwards.
Its main intent is to facilitate people of different languages to have a hassle-free experience while they find resolutions for their problems. It aims to make the process easier for people whether on call or text.
Bhashini in the Lost & Found app
Bhashini would enable support for the people visiting the Lost and Found app in the following manner:
- Multilingual Support
- It will enable the complainants to register lost/found items through voice in their native languages
- It will also facilitate real-time text/voice translation for easy communication
- Chatbot Assistance: It will help the complainants to access a Multilingual chatbot for queries and kiosk navigation that will make their experience pleasant.
- Mobile App/Kiosk Integration: Thai will enable the translation of guidelines into local languages making it convenient for the people to understand it.
- Police Collaboration: Thai will even enable seamless communication with officers
Sah’AI’yak Chatbot
This AI-powered, multilingual, voice-enabled chatbot is designed to assist millions of visitors at Maha Kumbh 2025. It seeks to transform pilgrim assistance by catering to their information and navigation needs, while also enhancing their Mahakumbh 2025 experience with lasting memories.

Bhashini in real-time voice translation
Bhashini Mobile Application’s ‘CONVERSE’ (वार्तालाप) feature would facilitate seamless communication for the devotees coming from various parts of India with the unit of UP Police’s 112 emergency helpline deployed at the mega event.
The Uttar Pradesh Police Department has collaborated with the Bhashini App to train field officers to utilize the Converse feature in the app to understand the grievances of distressed devotees seeking help in case of a language barrier.
