Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce, Government of India, emphasised the importance of adhering to legal requirements as Blinkit ventures into ambulance services. Addressing reporters during a briefing, he stated that the quick commerce company must ensure compliance with all applicable laws. "Whether it’s Blinkit’s ambulance service or the delivery of medicines, my only suggestion is that they strictly adhere to the law of the land. All other legal obligations must be met without exception. No laws should be violated," Goyal remarked.

Blinkit, known for its rapid delivery of daily essentials, beauty products, pet care items, baby care products, and food, has now ventured into a socially impactful domain. The company has launched a 10-minute ambulance service aimed at providing emergency medical support at patients' doorsteps. Albinder Dhindsa, Founder and CEO of Blinkit, announced the initiative through a post on X (formerly Twitter). He revealed that the service commenced in Gurugram on Thursday, with the first five ambulances already operational. This new initiative marks Blinkit’s expansion into healthcare, combining quick commerce with a social cause.
