As per a written reply submitted by MoS communications in the Rajya Sabha, India has reported around 99.21 percent of its population is covered by Mobile networks while around 99 percent of the population stands connected with at least 3G. Among the states and UTs covered under the report, Ladakh ranks the highest in Tele density with around 195.88 percent and Delhi with 185.56 percent.
Among the states, only Goa ranks the highest in tele density with a percentage of around 160.06 percent followed by Himachal Pradesh with 119.81 percent.
