  • India Showcases Leadership and Innovation at Gulfood 2023
  • Comnet Exhibitions assists over 300 companies to highlight food advances at Gulfood 2023
Dubai, UAE, February 25, 2023: The 28th edition of Gulfood opened to global acclaim, presenting a bold vision for the future of the food and beverage (F&B) industry. The event highlighted significant advancements in e-commerce expansions, agritech innovations, zero waste culinary practices, and youth empowerment initiatives. Gulfood 2023 brought together leading ministers and industry leaders to explore transformative food projects that will shape a resilient, forward-looking global food landscape.

A Global Platform for F&B Professionals
India, as the world's largest producer of spices, milk, food grains, fruits, vegetables, and pulses, demonstrated its pivotal role in the global food market. With substantial exports including basmati and non-basmati rice, meat, groundnuts, wheat, cereals, processed and fresh fruits and vegetables, and alcoholic beverages, India’s participation underscored the significant opportunities for investment in food processing technologies, packaging, refrigeration, and more. By March 2023, the food processing industry had attracted $6 billion in FDI equity, with processed food exports comprising 25.6% of India's agricultural exports in 2022-23.

India's Strong Presence at Gulfood 2023
From February 20 to 24, 2023, the Dubai World Trade Centre hosted over 300 Indian companies, including Amul, Lal Quila rice, GRB Dairy, MDH Spices, Everest, and Iscon Balaji, under the Indian Pavilion with the help of Comnet Exhibitions. The Pavilion was inaugurated by Shri Sunjay Sudhir, Ambassador of India to UAE, in the presence of Shri K Kalimuthu, Consul (Eco&Com), and Shri Rajeev Arora, Second Secretary (Commerce).
